SOLD -Mivera Purepower Ice 1200 AS amp
« on: 22 Oct 2018, 09:27 pm »
Sold for asking price: I really enjoyed watching Mike design and build these while he was on AudioCircle.  This one has his base custom case using the ICE 1200AS board.  While simple in design, Mike's insistence on a quality product makes this a gorgeous piece of gear.  RCA inputs.  In as new condition.  Puts out 700 watts into 4 ohms with both channels driven.  More power than most will ever need. I opted not to go for his costly wire upgrades.  The power switch is a touch switch right under the front edge.  It has a 10 year transferrable warranty dating from April 16 of this year.  Will include copy of invoice and his warranty statement.  I have too many amps with more coming, so I need to thin the herd.

Selling at my cost as an early buyer at only $950 if you pay with Friends and Family on Paypal.  Otherwise add 3% for Paypal fee.  Shipping in CONUS by insured Fedex Ground is $40 and if it costs less I'll refund the difference.  I am unaware of any other ICE 1200AS iteration with a case this nice at this low price, especially with the long warranty.

Don't mean to poop on your ad, but you are factually incorrect.  There are 2 cheaper ones available right now.

Search on hifishark.com to find them.

First off, the OP stated "I am unaware..." not "this IS the cheapest..."

Secondly, one can always find anything cheaper if one looks long enough.  The OP is trying to sell a piece of gear at what he thinks is a fair price.  IMO, it is not up to you to post on his thread and point out to potential buyers that they can find the same piece at a lower cost elsewhere.

Regards,

Randy

Bad form and unneeded. Not to mention the other amp is the cheaper version with the cheaper Takashi case.

Since you spend most of your time on AC selling things, it makes this doubly bad form and suspicious.

And you know that how?

Get your facts straight.  FYI 19% of my posts are in the Trading Posts.   Hardly "most of my time".

As far as my reading activities.....you have absolutely no idea.   But I can assure you I spend scant time reading FS ads.

You might want to check your math because 19% is not right and it's still poor form no matter how you try to justify it.

Correct, I added wrong, it's 30%.  Still not "most".

I simply set the record straight:

"I am unaware of any other ICE 1200AS iteration at this low price".

Factually incorrect.  If a seller states his price is lowest, IMO it is his responsibility to do his homework
and ensure accuracy.   It's not hard.  I do it every time I post an item FS.  Check the marketplace.  Check current items and historical ones.   It took me less than one minute to uncover the ones I referred to, and one of them actually has upgraded wiring (in response to the post saying the other one is "cheaper version").

And IMO the qualifier "I am unaware of....." doesn't cut it.  That's what politicians do.  Make yourself aware.  It's easy.

I don't appreciate hyperbole or lying by sellers, even if unintentional.  Maybe I'm too sensitive -- just a pet peeve of mine.  By the reaction here I guess you guys are OK with deception.

Would you be as upset if I corrected a factual error in the gear description?   Don't think so.
Beyond me why correcting an erroneous statement about marketplace pricing is any different.

If the "lowest price" proclamation was not made, I would have said nothing.

To the OP I apologize for taking this off track.  GLWTS.

If you had asked I could have told you that I did a Google search and found no comparable amp at a lower price. Not being as experienced as you at selling things, I didn't see a reason to try to search every audio site out there. I did not look at HifiShark and if I had I STILL would have not found a comparable amp at a lower price.  The ones listed there all have the cheaper Takashi case.  Maybe you needed to do more research to understand this.  And it would never occur to me to use this type phrasing to intentionally deceive anyone.  The fact that your mind went there says more about you than me.  But in order to keep things straight, I have adjusted my description.

As there's no feedback system here on A/C, I'm going to say I have purchased from Glynn recently and it was a good transaction. No problems at all. GLWS

I woo would like to concur with timind.  I had recently purchased gear from glynnw as well, and he is absolutely a great seller.  It was one of my best "used-audio" purchasing experience, and Glynn is a real gentlemen.
