Hey all,

I'm a new member who came to these forums specifically for information regarding high efficiency systems.

If there are any forum members in Portland, Oregon who have high efficiency systems they would be willing to demo for me please ping me!

You are right hi sensitivity speakers delivery fast transients and run nice w/small tube amps.

Hi, Scott.

I'm in OSU Beaver country. I've got 96dB floor standers (Daedalus Audio Apollos). My tube amp is a Don Sachs KT88 amp with switches to put it into SET mode. My preamp is also a Don Sachs Model 2 (6SN7).

What is it you are looking for specifically? 

PDX has an audio group that I once joined but never made it to a meeting.  They meet every month, typically in a bar and give talks on various topics.  Nice to see so many active audiophiles in a community.  But sadly interest is waning with the younger generation.

I was looking for some local members with high efficiency speakers and SET tube amplification based systems to audition. I also had some specific speaker amp synergy questions which I posted in the Omega Speakers forum.
