$0LD!!!....The Tube Extreme is a special model that was launched as a limited run for lucky audiophiles that were fast enough to click on the "Buy" button. It is essentially the Tube Mk II terminated with XOX RCA plugs instead of the usual Lovecraft RCA plugs used in the Redlevel RCA cable range.
The Redlevel RCA cable range is based on a thin-walled hollow Teflon tube that is shielded by pure copper strands, and then covered by a multi-filament nylon jacket. All this is done in-house by Chris using his own machines. Do take some time to visit Black Cat's Facebook page to view some videos of the machines in action - it's a sight to behold.

The center conductors vary according to the model. The Tube (which is the entry level model for Redlevel) uses a hollow dead-soft annealed copper tube with 0.008" thick walls. This tube is formed in an undulating wave pattern before being hand-run into the Teflon tube. Climbing up the ladder gets you more complicated center conductors with exotic weave patterns, and in some cases - pure silver conductors.

Despite the copper tube running through this cable, it remains flexible and easy to route.

Additional info as quoted from Chris S.,the designer and builder of Black Cat products...
The Tube: EXTREME

During the development of my INDIGO series of cables, I created what amounts to a SuperTube form to test the architecture of a low density Teflon tube coupled with NAMI processing on the copper tubular conductor, coupled with a variation on my QuieTex shielding techniques. I didn't make very much of this product because it was just for experimentation. I have enough of this material to make 25 pairs of RCA interconnects - that's it and that's that.

These are terminated with my XOX RCA connectors, which are the ones that I will be using for the INDIGO interconnects once we officially launch.

Each pair will be serial-numbered and presented in our lovely wooden boxes, made for us in Yamaguchi prefecture, Japan.

Once these 25 are made ... POOF! no more. (well, I'm making a couple for myself because they're REALLY GOOD!).

This is truly a Special Edition product, and it is at a STEAL of a price....$329.99 plus $15.00 priority mail shipping (CONUS only), plus PayPal fees...
