Notice that I didn't say
versus! I know these type of posts sometimes get out of hand, so I ask for a comparison with great trepidation. Both Danny & Dave seem to be really good guys with good customer service, and I don't want to set 'em at each others throats!
Still, I'd like to ask for a comparison of the two speakers from anyone that's actually auditioned them both, preferably in the same system. The 1801 is larger, but they're priced fairly closely.
Please describe how these two reputedly superb models compare with each other: lastly, if you could have a pair of either one for free, which would you take?
