Hello Bill,
Something I've been thinking about. You have some excellent equipement. Some, one of a kind (mods). I'm wondering, maybe in the spring, some of us from the NY Audio Rave could pay you a saturday visit to have a listen. I've not discussed this with the members , but I think there might be some interest. Travel wise....a little over
three hours...183 miles.[/list:u]
Would this be of interest to you to host ?[/list:u]
      Thanks !! :D [/list:u]
        Chris[/list:u]

Chris,

I have also discussed having Bill come down as well.

In the past, he seemed to think it was an excellent idea...just needed to see if it could be worked into his schedule.

ABSOLUTELY!!!
I have actually made mention of this in the past but it never came about due to scheduling. I would like to have the new showroom up and running before making this happen. I would also like to have the Daedalus here.

All I have to do is get the carpet laid down in the room and get the system setup. My location is not that big but it serves it's purpose. I can have two or three seperate systems setup at any given time.

I should have the first of the our new amplifiers ready by late spring, 8 watt 300B and 25 watt PP 300B mono blocs as well as the new preamp. (we don't have to wait for these)

Everybody here has some neat and unique gear. It would be great to have the chance to hear some of this stuff I have only been hearing "about".

A Saturday would work perfectly as long as we could fit it all into a single day? We could spread it out over the weekend for those without such a long drive.

Is 30 days notice good for most people?

 I'm game

Things are getting closer with the newer room. I finally took the time to grab and install the carpet. I still have some work to do in this new room (like get some furniture) but do have a few systems running. Just today I set up a pair of Roan Audio Model 5 speakers to start breaking them in. If you have never seen these speakers, you are in for a big surprise as the cabinetry is the among the best I have seen in the industry. Pictures do them no justice at all.
I have the Roans  http://www.roanaudio.com speakers available for our get together and maybe a pair of the newest, not yet released, solid bamboo speakers.

Greetings everyone,
Things have come together rather quickly the past week or so. I just received work that my Daedalus DA-1s should be shipped no later than Feb. 17th. I want to get some good break-in on these prior to a get together but looks like we can plan on a gathering anytime after the end of this month!!
If we wait anothe couple of weeks, there is a possibility of having the Musica Bella 300B mono blocs and preamp available for audition also. I am eager to hear the Daedalus driven by the 25 watt 300B amp being feed by the ModWright linestage (which is now here and running nicely with a pair of Extreme Hurricanes).
I should also have another pair of EXtreme Hurricanes sometime mid-late March if we want these in the mix also.

Your thoughts and ideas are welcome. I'm open to anything as long as it's a wekend my wife is not working (i'm sure you don't want my little ones running around).

I have been told the Daedalus will be here the end of next week to the beginning of the following. I want to make sure they are here first. As soon as they arrive, I will set a date that will be at least a week after so I can burn them in.

NO, you can only listen to my stuff. Of course anybody can bring anything they want. Depending on how much gear people bring with them, we not be able to audition everything. I do have 4-5 deferent preamps (all tube) but you are more than welcome to bring along a favorite.

Here is a short list of some of my permanent pieces:

Reference Ming-Da preamp>
Signature Ming-Da preamp>
ModWright SWL 9.0 preamp>
Reference Jolida JD3000 preamp>
Jolida JD50 passive preamp>
Reference Custom Jolida 801A power amp>
Reference Jolida 502B power amp>
Signature RAM-40 mono blocs>
Reference Jolida JD3000A mono blocs>
EXtreme Hurricane Mono blocs (Maybe?)>
Signature Custom Ming-Da 805 power amp>
Signature Jolida 302A>
Custom Jolida JD100 CD player>
Daedalus DA-1 speakers>
Custom Usher 7388 speakers>
Usher X-708 speakers>
Audio Note AZ-TWO speakers>
Audio Note AX-TWO speakers>
Roan Model 5 speakers>
Roan Mustang speakers>
Various other speakers>
Upgraded Jolida JD402 tuner>
Clarity Labs and Usher cabling>

Thats all I can think of at the moment. I would really like for people to bring along cables. I am looking to pick up a decent line of decent yet affordable cabling.

Okay, it looks like I will have pictures of the system with ONE speaker. Apparently, Fed. Ex. could not keep them together and they were "seperated". The first one showed up yesterday and has been sitting around waiting for its mate. What I get from Fed. Ex. is that "it's in transit".

Due to the dates below being so close to Christmas. We will be having an "Official" Grand Opening sometime after the first of the year. The December dates will still be in session for those who can still make a day out of the weekend. The primary focus of this session will be to debut the many new, exclusive speaker systems now available at Response Audio.

For anyone coming in from out-of-town (or locally), please drop me an email as I need to know how many might be attending and on what day. This event is NOT being advertised locally.
