I've been on other forums quite a bit but not this one. I'm into headphones. Apart from some cables, I feel I can now can stick with what I have without getting the upgrade bug, which I know seems impossible within audio.

Welcome to the sweet spot. Actually as a primarily-headphone user myself, everywhere is the 'sweet spot', but anyway....

The audio industry needs you to be dissatisfied with your gear... regularly. My main pieces of advice to beginning audiophiles would be, 1) Solve the big problems first (source quality, speakers or headphones, room); and 2) when the upgrade bug hits, don't give in unless you're sure what you're 'upgrading' to is actually better, not just different. Many 'upgrades' are really 'cross grades'. Crossgrades are a great way to waste money.

db cooper, I hear you but it can be hard to audition headgear so it's important to find used at a good price to move it on easily. I've been trying new stuff for years but finally feel content.
