I remembered it as the 570 which was playing when he was visited. His comment was "They have no right to sound that good", but it may have been the 580s. I'll bet the 580 sounds great; 6.5" is about my favorite bass/mid size for a two way speaker.
I have the 580s out in the digital room. They are a nice, manageable size, compared to the 590s, which are heavier then hell and quite tall. The 580s are effortless and produce images that seem to float. I rarely listen to my Martin Logans anymore.
If you are close to Santa Ana Ca., used pair of 580's for $650.https://www.ebay.com/itm/JBL-studio-580-Professional-quality-200-watt-Floorstanding-Speaker-pair/202395275278?hash=item2f1fb2d00e:g:4DQAAOSw-d5bQTZl
Hmmmm...effortless is a nice characteristic.
if you want effortless you should listen to the M2's. They will blow you away!

There ya go. Buy my amp that's already got the tuning file and one is ready to go.
I’ve never heard these speakers. Just how listenable are they? Any brightness?
