The Vas Nova is a special build designed by Harry Weisfeld of VPI. It comes in.8mV or yours can be built at.4mV. It is an MC compared to the Moving Iron of the AIDA. It has high quality elliptical stylus (not the $2.00 ones), and a thin hollow aluminum tube cantilever. Since I haven't used the AIDA for a while, Lyra Delos has been on the arm for a few months, it would be hard to compare sound. ALL 3 are very detailed outstanding high end cartridges with the AIDA at 1995 the most expensive. The Aida and Vas Nova are locally built and can be easily serviced or retipped. The Lyra would have go back to Japan and is very costly. The SS and Vas are more affordable and easy to contact via e-mail or on the phone.
