Hello from Shrewsbury England
« on: 8 Jun 2018, 09:23 am »
My name is Michael and I live in the English midlands quite near to the Welsh border. I have an interest in valve and ss class A amplification.
My preferred source is vinyl and I use a Vectored Pink Triangle. I enjoy diy builds though I stop at building speakers. Never did have the skill for fine carpentry.

    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Welcome, Micheal. I've done a little DIY too, but like you I'm not that skillful with the tools. Last year I bought a powerful router and managed to severe the cord within seconds of it's maiden voyage.

Hi.  Welcome to the Forum.  I have been to Shrewsbury several times and have good friends there - the "Chandlers".  Beautiful city!!  City of Flowers, correct?  Have lifted a pint or two at several pubs - Three Fishes was a favorite as I recall.   :thumb:

Shrewsbury is the birthplace of Charles Darwin. Learn something new everyday :D

Looks beautiful. I can see myself driving a Jaguar F type convertible into town for scones and tea

Thanks guys. Yes it's a very nice town. There is an annual flower festival and more importantly some good pubs with well looked after 'real ale'. The town is almost encircled by the River Severn.
Sorry to hear about the router accident - oops.

By the way - the building with the clock is now an arts centre with a cinema seating 80 people. Great place to enjoy a film with a glass of wine.
