I have a 1200 I use for my cd player. I can't hear any difference but I know the player is protected somewhat and the line is clean. They are a bargain compared to something by Monster cable and much better than much else you can get for the price. I like the Powervar and Oneac models better but the Tripplite 2400 is good quality.
they will protect your gear (mebbe), but they won't add much of anything beneficial to the sonics, imo. do *not* use them on amps - they *will* suck all the life & dynamics outta them, in spite of their 2400w rating.ymmv, doug s.

Thanks for in input. I guess I have to weigh the cost benefit ratio. I can get a new LCR2400 for $454 CDN. Out of all of my equipment my power amp would be the only component that I would be comfortable plugging straight into a wall outlet. The idea of a isolation transformer is new to me , what should I be looking for. I notice Hammond has quite a variety on their website. I would prefer to buy new from a Canadian distributor. UPS and the CDN government like to screw us when things come accross the border into Canada.
The specs on my power amp state that it draws 750 watts maximum, would a isolation transformer rated at 1000 watts be sufficient?
