Ken,

Do these attenuators have any problems with switching noise (popping that comes over the speakers) when the volume is changed?

I don't know if your's use a different model switch, but there are several threads at diyAudio regarding a similar, if not identical, attenuator from Taiwan. Apparently, many of those had problems with switching noise.

If there are no problems with switching noise, the attenuators seem like a really good deal. It would be good to know if there are any issues, though.

Best,
KT

Hi KT,

They are the same Attn as the one from Taiwan, but technicians assembled these already, so they do not have some of the assembling issues that may have cause the noise problem.  I have sold about 6 of them in the US already, and have no complaint so far.  As an assemble product, I have a money back policy if they are not working correctly.

The price is still $699, I have a inner tray for $20, pulse tx and caps for $40, and a nice looking clamp is $40.  I also have a clear acrylic cover for $25, but I like the all-metal look.  This is what I have so far, we are coming out with a De-Jitter and a New DAC, keep an eye out for them, they are at the same bang-for-the-buck value as the CD-PRO2M kit.

Regards,
Ken
