High quality audio cases

I know this topic was around before, tried looking for it, but couldn't find it.

Can anyone suggest where one might find quality cases, preferably 19" rack format but not mandatory?

Any suggestions and especially links would be appreciated.

Cheers,
DVV

I used a par-metal case for my amp.

The quality is excellent.  If you order from them allow plenty of time, as it took about a month to get mine.

Hi DW,

I recently discovered this company that has a nice quality case:

True - however, I hate to think what shipping it from Oz over to Europe would cost ...

But it is just what the doctor ordered.

I am trying a company called Frontpanelexpress.com for my faceplates.  They have a really neat tool (frontplatten designer) that lets you lay out your panel & then order from them.  Pretty slick, lot of fun, great precision, good selection, good prices (for prototyping).

We'll see how the finished product looks in a week or so...

I have a couple of par-metal cases and they are OK, not anything to write home about but not bad.  I think I will try out some Lansing Enclosure cases soon and see if I like them a little better.  Prices for Lansing are similar and I heard that customer service is better but I haven't had the issues some have had with Par-metal.

I have a ParMetal black anodized series 20 case for my headphone amp as well as a Front Panel Express front panel.  I think both are very nice.  Here are a couple of pics:

Dear BradJudy,

Just curious about the front panel express front panel. Are the edges anodised as well ? Did you specify 19" rack standard dimensions when you designed your custom panel ? Any machine clamp marks on the edges ?

Thanks.

The edges are not anodized, that's one of the down sides of FPE.  I specified dimensions based on the size of the Par-Metal series 20 case.  There are light clamping marks on the edges.
