Yes, I am using a shielded IC with the JVC's sub output. I thought of that too. That's why I did the test with the Norh using the speaker inputs. I wasn't using shielded speaker cable with that, but I figured a high level input wouldn't be suspectable to picking up RF.
In fact, I just tried another shielded IC a minute ago. This one one was much longer, 12 feet vs 6. When I plugged it in to the sub, all I got was a hum. Then I plugged the other end into the receiver, and got KGO again. That's the only other IC I have laying around that'll reach. All my others are 3 footers or the crappy ones that come with equipment.
It also occured to me that I might have a ground loop problem. I previously had the amps and the sub plugged into different outlets. So I moved the sub to the outlet that I had the amps on. No change.
