Attention Omega owners and fans of single driver, crossover less, speakers in general:

For sale is my super rare, and pristine condition, First Watt F2J. I have a bit of a hard time passing on opportunities to obtain and hear First Watt designs (when they’re within my financial reach). The fallout is that I have too many amps and, unfortunately, not enough time.

As some of you may know, the F2 was built when (I’m pretty sure) Nelson was building all First Watt amps himself. He’d build 100 and when they were all sold, that was that. What makes this amp super rare is that it is among the few F2’s that were upgraded to F2J. Note that Nelson is definitely not performing this upgrade anymore. Well.....his exception is if you’d give him a case of rare Scotch in exchange. So, if you’re into collecting rare audio gear, they don’t get much more rare and collectible than this.

Yes, if you have the right speakers, the First Watt amps are among the best sounding SS amps on the planet.  Someone is going to get a fantastic deal here

Thanks Tyson. Yes the "right (type of) speakers" is a critical factor here. This current source amp design, is electrically suited for single driver, crossover less, speakers only. I used it with Omega CAMs and the result was fantastic.
