Welcome to the sweet spot, and I suggest you acquaint yourself with the 'Cheap n' Cheerful' circle. Satisfying sound doesn't have to cost a fortune.

You dont need spend much to listen metal, this kind of music dont benefit from refined audio equips, otherwise Jazz or classical music in cheap equip is awfull.
