Hello everyone,
I’m a Audio enthusiast living in Chico CA for the last 4 years. Not many other audiophiles here or even a decent high end audio store to be found, a far cry from Los Angeles where I moved from. It’s all good as I pretty much have my system completed. My system consists of:
Audio Research VS-110 amplifier, highly upgraded Bottlehead Foreplay II preamp, Ah Thoeb 99 tube CD Player, a pair of Totem Arro’s with a pair of Bowers & Wilkins ASW300 subs. Room size 11.5’ x 14.5’ with a vaulted ceiling. A very neutral room acoustically. I running the subs near field which really sounds good to my ears as it creates wonderful room energy. The Totems are really wonderful in rooms this sized and create a large and wall free soundstage. They also have outstanding detail, clarity and are not at all fatiguing during long listing sessions.
I recently went near field on the subs and used Belden 9497 wire to wire the speakers and am rather pleased with the sound. They replaced Kimber Kable and AudioQuest Type 4 cables.
