Solid State Stereo Amp, Driving Only One Channel?

Bonjour my friends...

I have an Emotiva A-100 Mini X stereo amp that I want to use to add a center channel to my (currently) stereo rig. It is not bridgeable as far as I can tell. Is it safe for the amp to connect only one channel to a KEF Q100, leaving the other channel without a load? Or should I use some kind of resistor on the unused channel as a dummy load to protect the amp? I know you can't even consider this with tube amps, but I'm not sure about a SS amp.

Generally speaking, running a solid state amp this way is no problem for the amp. Just a minor waste of electricity for you.
