Wood For OB.

I have a pair of Goodmans Axiom 201 speakers that I want to make an OB for.

What I need to know:
Thickness
Type of wood

As most OB designs are unreinforced, it doesn't matter sonically.  To combat action/reaction effects use as heavy of baffle as possible.
