I might have stepped on the cord last night but I’m really surprised how easily it broke off. Here is a picture. Any ideas on the fastest way to fix this ?

Call Bryston and you can get a new post shipped.  I replaced one in my 4bsst a few years ago.  It's a bit of a pain to do but definitely can be a diy fix.

No, you do it from the inside by taking off the cover.

I did on Monday, they said they’ll try to get shipment out, and at the worst maybe for Friday. I messaged them on Friday when nothing came and I got an automated message; saying they’ll be back on the third

Seems kind of odd that we went from trying to get shipment out on Tuesday, then shooting for a delivery date of Friday, to not arriving at all, and no contact or update. Thank you though, I’ll hang tight.

No, you do it from the inside by taking off the cover.

Can you explain exactly how you did this I’m having a hard time taking out the inner screw. It’s a really tight situation

I mean the outside piece that broke. It’s really firm on the back of the unit even though all the screws on the inside are loose

After hours of trying I finally installed it. The trick was to use office tape to lower the nuts and bolts because my fingers wer long enough or skinny enough to fit. That was extreme hell, but I’m glad it worked out.  Thanks James

Glad you got it fixed.  It's been a few years since I replaced a post in my 4bsst.  I do remember it was tough to get the nut back on.  Your post may have been in an even worse spot.

It's still better than shipping back to Bryston and losing unit for a month.
