Amber Amps, Preamps & Tuners

I co-founded Amber Electronics, a 'high-value / high-end' 1980s company that made the Series 70 Amp, Model 17 Preamp, and Model 7 FM tuner. If you remember them ... smile!

Keith - welcome. Used to have an Amber Series 70 many moons ago. We met at a stereo store event in East Windsor, NJ when I bought the amp (probably had brown hair back then and more of it - at least that's my story
).

I remember them in Stereophile a long time ago. Was somewhat interested in getting one but never did.

Greetings, I had the Amber in the 80's amp but we actually used it as a PA amp in our church for many years.

I sold a lot of Amber 70's back then, never a complaint from anyone.

Holy Crap Kieth!
The model 17 preamp was one of my favorite components ever. Have to curse at you a bit about the Board mounted RCA connectors though. That was the only reason I sold the thing. I could permanently fix it now; but wasn’t capable back in the day.
So glad to see you here.
Looking forward to reading some of your posts and what you have been up to lately.
Warmest regards,
Nick D

I remember the amp and preamp
.
But I don’t recall anything about an Amber tuner.

But what ever happened to Keith?
I had hopes he would e a contributing member here. The guy made some great stuff back in the day.
Be nice to know what he has been up to lately.
