Can I use these to adapt the inputs of the JBL LSR305s to RCA cables? I just want to make sure that I am not missing something subtle.

Those would work fine.

I actually use 1/8 inch stereo mini to dual 1/4 inch plugs to connect my iPhone to the 305’s in a pinch. Same company too...Hosa.

i bought XLR to  male RCA from HOSA. the 305 that i had only had xlr input as far as i can remmeber.

That would be the other option. I believe the 305's have both. Look to the right of the XLR connector on the rear view.
