Godless is Netflix's newest classic 1880's western with hero's, mean as hell villains and wide panoramic New Mexico vistas. The 7 part series is an homage to classic westerns like Unforgiven and Shane. The story revolves around the small mining town of La Belle, now populated by only women after a devastating mining accident killed all the men. But there is a lot more going on outside of La Belle too with an unscrupulous mining company and a revenge fueled outlaw gang all headed in the towns direction.
The western sets and wardrobe are perfect and the wide screen panoramic scenes are reminiscent of John Ford westerns.
