These are incredibly natural sounding with the famous PHY H30 LB15 Sag 12" full range drivers and the Tonian Acoustic TL-R2 ribbon super tweeter. Very dynamic with a wide and deep sound stage, the speakers completely disappear with the music floating in the space between and behind them. Can be driven with 10 watts or 200 watts. I’m using a 8 to 17 watt tube amp, depending on output tubes used, and get glorious highs, midrange and nice tight bass. These come with the optional $500 footers that deliver better resonance and speaker feedback like a finally tuned instrument.
The PHY full range driver in these has a unique voice coil made from silver wire insulated with 15 micrometer silk, a light weight paper cone and a brass phase plug, bronze basket and ring, pole pieces made of very soft steel and ALNICO 3SC magnet: the full magnetic field is located within the gap and protected from other magnetic interference like TV emissions.
