You'd have to mod it a bit to play headphones, but I think that it would make a real mess of them if you cranked it  

That 250 is a very nice "little" amp, only about 100lbs.  

I can't think of a speaker it couldn't drive.....

Actually, the MSRP is around 11,000 Euros, which become around 14,000 USD.  If only MSRP was paid, then $4.8K is more than a bargain.  Still, I can think of a few others that may have the same heft and sound.... Either the VK500 (2 powercords, class A monster from BAT) at just 2.5K used....or a used pair of Parasound JC-1s....just the same price.  Unless you have a dead godzilla of preamp to move as speakers...Do ones need a Kraft?
