I've looked into this, there is not a oem replacement stylus for the four series and the five doesn't work with the four. The five is available from partsexpress.com for 329.00 for the whole cartridge.

Found two sources of non-Shure replacement stylii--Elex Atelier and LPGear
http://www.lpgear.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=LG&Product_Code=SHS095
The Swiss made stylus is $69; actual Shure stylus is model VN 45 HE (hyper-elliptical)/MR (micro-ridge) IN CASE ONE MIGHT TURN UP ON EbAY.
Looks like the Type V has a big "V" on the cartridge--if you've got a stabilizer brush, but no "V", you've got a IV (I think):

I know I have the type 4, got in 1979 with a replacement, my turntable was in storage for 20 yrs and recently got back from my parents house, turn in on and like in the 80`s, but the stylus is gone and I dont know is the cartridge still good.

Juan,
May want to call J & R Music if you are looking at buying new model, I bought mine there a year ago at an extremely reasonable cost. I think at the time the Shure ran $275 and I bought for $210.00 delivered. It's probably gone up a bit now, but I recommend them highly for Shure's.
