I am selling my Monster AVS 2000. It is in excellent condition and was Monster's top of the line power conditioner/voltage stabilizer and listed new for $2000. This equipment does three things: First it outputs 120 Volts no matter what the line voltage in is as long as it is between 80 and 140 Volts. Second, it has Monster's best noise filtering for a quiet, dark background to your system. Third it offers surge protection against voltage spikes. It is rated at an output of 1500 Watts so it can run an entire system.
This unit is heavy, around 70 pounds, due to a massive tapped transformer. When your audio/home theater equipment is turned on, there is a clicking noise as the AVS finds the appropriate output tap based on the incoming voltage and the current needed. The front display reads the output voltage, adjustment being made to the line voltage in, and current being drawn. The display can be turned off. I left the AVS 2000 on all the time, but it can be used to turn your system on and off via its four switched outlets. There are two additional non-switched outlets. I think you can set delays and create a turn-on/off sequence but I have never figured it out.
I have the original box, manual, and rack ears.
As noted, this item is heavy. I will ship via FedEx ground. I am in the St. Louis area if anyone would like to see it in person or pick it up. Please contact me with any questions or interest. Kent Johnson 636-399-8053
