Audio Institute VR-110S Tube Integrated Amplifier

The Audio Institute VR-110S is an EL-34 push-pull integrated amplifier.  I suspect that it derives from the Dynaco ST-70.  It is rated at 30WPC.  This amp uses 5670 input tubes.  All the tubes are nearly new, maybe 50 hours use.  The JJ output tubes were professionally biased as biasing requires going into the amp and taking measurements.  The inputs are GE NOS JAN tubes.  There are four line-level inputs, no phono section.

This is a nice sounding amp.  It is not the last word in terms of detail but it is amazingly quiet.  I cannot hear anything with my ear to the tweeter.  My main system has more hashy noise than this modest amplifier.  Unlike a lot of Chinese equipment, they did not appear to skimp on the power transformer.  Even after extended running, it is only warm and not scary hot.

There is nothing else included; you will need to supply your own power cord. I do have some Pearl tube coolers I will make a good deal on if you would like four of them with the amp.

If you Google this amp, you will turn up an old web site.  It's not of much use.  I know the amp to be at least six or seven years old.  I have had it for three years.

I will ship via FedEx, double-boxed.  It is heavy, probably at least 40 pounds.  Please contact me with any questions or interest.  I am in the St. Louis area if you would like to audition it or pick it up.  Thanks for checking out my ad. Kent Johnson 636-399-8053

$450 plus shipping.  I will cover Paypal.
