I presume discussing a TV show is OK in this circle. Did anyone else watch The Orville this evening. I can't be the only scifi nerdy boy here. Anyway, in the captain's office there was a Gamut T Lobster Chair. Guess they felt that was what furniture in 500 years would look like.

Haven't seen it but in the trailer it looks, how shall I say, 'strongly infuenced' by Star Trek. Time will tell I guess. In current science fiction, I like 'The Expanse' on Syfy for its plausible physics along with an interesting premise.

We watched it here; it was ok. I thought it was going to be a Star Trek spoof, or maybe in the vein of "Quark". (Who remembers that one?)
We shall see if the oddball crew and strange scenarios work.

I kinda liked it, not terrible, a little funny, won't be skipping Sunday night football for it unless the game is a snoozer like last night.

I missed it but plan to pick it up Ondemand.
I can't believe anyone else remembers Quark, I think it was on only one or two weeks. I didn't understand why it was so short lived, I liked it. The only thing I remember is that I did like it and the really attractive blondes

It's totally a Star Trek spoof.
I thought it was excellent.

QUARK !!!! The garbage truck of space!!! I loved the sentient plant 1st officer. Or was he a security officer? Classic stuff, and the show should of had twice as many seasons as the original Star Trek!!!

Give it a chance...remember how bad the first few episodes of Star Trek and Next Gen were? Now Quark, on the other hand, DIDN'T have a bad first few episodes!
