Really?  i suspect the Iggles fans are the most surprised, at least based on their preseason hopes.     :icon_twisted:

  Hi Guys:
The  game isn't over until the Fat Lady sings! She must have been in Philadelphia today.

                                                     Cheers

I had posted that I wanted to see a good game as I did not have a horse in that race.  I’d say it was a very good game, and an underdog win was a fun outcome.  Congrats to Eagles fans for their first!

Good game but the worst half time entertainment in all the years I have been watching the Super Bowl

+1

No 2nd/3rd acts, no special props, terrible sound, and music only suited for the under 35 crowd.  Glad when it was finally over.

Couldn't care about either team, but I am curious how a seasoned SB team like NE could lose to a first time coach and NICK FOLES???

Quandary about their QB's next year for Philly!

Scoring 33 points might win you the average Super Bowl but allowing 41 points will pretty certainly lose any Super Bowl for you. Future for the Pats does not look too bright but their Divisional rivals rarely manage to keep N.E. out of the playoffs. The biggest wild card in their future, aside from Brady's age, would appear to revolve around finding adequate replacements at OC and DC.
Meanwhile, the NFC appears poised for another protracted string of Super Bowl wins. Consider the young and already quite successful Rams, Eagles and Vikings. Throw in the Falcons, Panthers, and Saints, all of whom could have been in this game instead of the Eagles. Then there are the rebuilding Giants, the Packers, Cowboys and the Seahawks, any one of which could return to dominance next season. Then, maybe, the 49ers, Lions or Deadskins might find their way also.
On the AFC side, it's not quite so rosy. Denver is long lost, the Steelers and Patriots are aging quickly, and the Ravens will be lost without Ozzie Newsome. Those 4 teams account for all but one of the NFC SB wins in this century. The strongest candidates seem to be Houston, Jax, K.C., L.A. Chargers, Raiders and possibly Miami.
Anyone else care to speculate?

Well you can count me as one who thought that Timberlakes show was excellent.
I don't have any of his music but have caught him in concert on the tele a few times. Always great. The man has talent.
And the best SB I've seen by far. Congrats Philly!

Charmerci you are wrong. The Eagles beat a dangerous  Falcons team as underdogs, destroyed  a great and favored Vikings team.
The Eagles were a stronger team all the way around. Every commentator mentioned this. Foles was playing masterfully the past two playoff games!!! And if you follow Foles you would know that he had one of the best seasons on record with the Eagles . Something like 27 touchdowns to 2 interceptions!!

The Eagles has a waaay better defense, but didn't really show last night, except for the strip sack., which was huge.
