This SWL 9.0SE has the very extensive Signature upgrade which includes the tube rectified (5AR4) power supply as well as Modwright capacitors and a Blackgate power supply capacitor. I have not heard the stock version but the Signature is said to be a major upgrade sonically. The remote is also the upgraded version.
Reviews of the standard SWL 9.0SE are easily found online and they are very positive. I can confirm that this preamp has a very neutral character and is very quiet.
The unit is in very good operating and cosmetic condition. I'll mention a few blemishes: a scratch at the very back of the top panel (shown in photo), a tiny mark on the top edge of the faceplate that shows up in bright light, and some marks on the underside from use of aftermarket feet.
The original price including Signature upgrades was $3000. Sold for $1100.
