I thought this movie was very entertaining, well acted, and fine cgi, and cinematography.
It's nothing new really , very much like Alien, but worth seeing.
I give it a 7.5 out of 10

I think the answer is pretty easy.... they will continue making them as long as there is money to be made. And the ratings will continue to go down as the plots get weaker and weaker. I figure filmmakers would rather continue making money off of a sure formula until they've sucked every bit of life out it than take the risk of creating something new and original.
