I believe I am correct in saying it is actually illegal!!!!!

I apologize for the sarcastic remark.  I thought you meant he was being shady because he had found a way to profit off of us innocent audiophiles.  I guess I thought you meant he was ripping US off which I don't think he is.

I had no idea it was illegal to resell goods from the base.  I figured, once he paid for the XR45's, it was his right to do with them what he pleased.  Either stack them in storage or resell them to civilians.

If his superiors catch him and it is actually illegal, then he's screwed.  But he certainly isn't ripping us off at $350 considering the XR45 is out of production, is rare, in high demand and at that price, still an excellent value.

Anyway, no hard feelings eh?

None at all, and I may be wrong, as I know absolutely zero about the military.  My xr-50 was sent to Wayne today, I couldn't be more excited.  Full HT mod with bybee's!

That's exciting alright.  When you get it back, there's going to be a new break in period you'll have to wade through but it's worth it.  However, I'm sure you'll hear marked inprovements right away.  The stock binding posts are horrible and really a major choke point in the sound.  Just swapping those alone is worthwhile.  The Bybees are just icing on the cake with the panny receivers.  Good choice!

Well I am sure Scott is happy about it.

If you do miss it, you can always get another XR45 and have Wayne do it all over again for you.

So what's got you itchin for the change now?

Curiosity.  My Loreleis have only been fed with the Panny 45.
