I would like to thank Pete and his wonderful family for their gracious hospitality. The music sounded great and everyone enjoyed what turned out to be a great day. As usual, Pete showed himself to be a generous host.
Three systems (plus one in the garage) played the whole time, all driven by tubes of varying vintage. Pete's Volti-modified Klipschorns did most of the heavy lifting in the living room driven by Border Patrol 300B amps. Tannoy 12" in custom BR cabinets driven by 300B's did duty in a separate room, and a Fisher 500C drove JBL L88's in the backyard system. Any one of these systems would make most of us happy.
Pete's gatherings are great opportunities to enjoy good music, geek out on audio equipment, and meet local audiophiles. They also usually feature guest appearances by some industry heavyweights (Gary Dews of Border Patrol and Dave Slagle of Intact Audio were in attendance).
