Well, American Airlines has a 50lb weight limit (or there's a 700% surcharge), so each amp Box would have to weigh in under 50lbs. If that is possible (he can carry the tubes onboard) all we'd have to do is talk about price & age...can you find out the date of manufacture? I appreciate that you've got a couple hundred dollars worth of extras including the fuses, but you should realize that there is a demo set at Audio Mirror for less than your asking for these (& likely a newer manufacturing date with a full warranty to boot. The reality is that many of the products we know to be every bit as good as some big Audio Research or Cary Audio Amps, will rarely be able to compete in the used marketplace against them. If carys are selling at half of list, more obscure products will often only fetch 35-40% of list. I have a $5500 Tube preamp that I've been trying to sell (for less than $2 grand) for over two years....still no takers. It will crush anything (new or used) under $2500, but I'd be crazy to let it go for less than $1600.....so I won't. You're in the same spot my friend. Think about pricing & the weight issue & let me know tomorrow....peace.
