Mini -T owners - whatcha doing for stands?
« on: 10 Jun 2017, 09:18 pm »
Recently ordered a pair of Mini-T speakers.  I have not ordered stands for these as I want to experiment with placement once they arrive.

Besides the Target stands any suggestions and pics of your set-ups would be appreciated.  Very excited about these new speakers and looking forward to receipt.

I don't own the Mini-T but my Paradigm Active 40's are the same size. I strongly recommend the Mapleshade Bedrock stands. Absolutely stunning the improvement they make to the sound:

You can see the stands under my left and right channel speakers near the floor:

I'm using an older pair of Paradigm J-50 stands that were designed for the Paradigm Sudio 40's. 20.5" tall, large top plate,  solid and heavy, especially when sand filled. Small issue easily taken care of is you have take off the Mini-T feet and put the screws back in that hold the front feet in place. The back feet holes are resting on the top plate so are sealed. If you don't put the screws back in the front when playing music with a lot of bass the screw inserts may rattle. You can also seal with blu tack.

HI

You can also buy ‘Custom Tops’ for the Bryston ‘Mini T’ and ‘Mini A’ bookshelf speakers.

The Mini T top fits on the Target ‘MR Series’ stands.

The Mini T can be bolted directly to the top for more stability and better acoustic coupling or can rest free on rubber pads (supplied), small flat spikes (supplied) or Blu- Tack (not supplied) or even specially designed Outriggers and Chrome spikes.

Heres a shot of the custom top plate:

Very nice solution James. How do you purchase the custom top Mini T?

Crazy idea: Maybe you could offer a "blank" Mini T plate with only the speaker mounting holes drilled and the customer could drill the mounting holes for their existing stands. Caveat emptor of course; no returns if you don't drill correctly.
