For your consideration is an 18 year old, very well built CDP. All aluminum cabinet. Has single ended (RCA) analog and Toslink (optical) digital outputs. Remote (two AA batteries required) works and both outputs still sound fantastic (tested this morning). Also has variable output single ended analog output with volume control (on the cabinet), but frankly it clips the volume peaks so best for “emergency” use only.
It is black, 17” x 13.5” x 5”, and weighs of 15 pounds. Has a captive 2 prong power cord and uses a heavy/slow (rather majestic movement) tray that includes the laser assembly and a metal puck to hold the CD in place. Some have called it a baby XA7ES (one of the very best CDPs ever made). Would make a great second system or backup source.
Purchased new but hasn’t been used in the past 12 years. Am finally confident enough in my computer source and in the mood to thin out the herd so looking to send it on to a good home.
Agon rated 6/10 only because nothing is perfect (no known damage) and age. See link to manual below. Will be packaged in the original cartoon for shipment.
Price new: $700, asking $100 plus shipping from 48867 with payment via PayPal or USPS money order.
