Philips DFR900 using UCD?
« on: 5 Dec 2004, 05:54 am »
Philips UCD digitial amplification technology that is currently getting a lot of buzz amongst DIYers -

Nice Class D overview:

"Best sounding amplifier ever"

http://www.classd.org/oem_products/products/philips_dsl.htm

In search of a comercial Philips UCD product, I found this:

But nobody else seems to have heard of the Philips DFR900. Anyone here know what's up? Opinions on UCD?

The guy even has a link to DIY on his page.

But isn't he just buying the ICs (or even the modules?) from Philips? Are there any OEMs selling finished products with UCD amps in them?
