Hi, if it is a changer, the answer is no, because we don't mod any CD, DVD or SACD changers at all anymore. We are also too busy to take on any custom work at the moment and I have not worked on the Denon before.
Thanks for asking though,
Dan W.

The Denon 5000 I'm referring to is not a changer. It was their flag ship DVD player at $2500 retail. It is extremely heavy and well made. It has excellent sound quality that rivals the tripped out Art DI/O (I own both). I'm just wondering if this unit can be made even better. It's down sides are no progressive scan, and no ability to play CD-Rs or CD-RWs.

I am sure that we can make it better. The issue right now is time... We are so swamped with existing work that I don't have time to pursue it right now.
If you would be willing to track down the service manual for this unit and send it to me, I could let you know what I would upgrade and costs. It is MUCH more difficult without a service manual with full schematics.
Thanks,
Dan W.
