I had a 704 I think a couple years ago or a very similar model. Great table! I was really surprised by how good it sounded and was reluctant to let it go. I think because of its suspended chassis. As for the Grado cart, there's an opportunity there because you can swap the stylus with the Grado 8MZ and shazaam you've got a $$$ cart.

Thanks for the note. I've personally owned a Basis 2001, SOTA Star Sapphire, Rega RP9, etc. and this Dual really holds its own. And for $300 working fine and with a great cartridge, it's a great way to get into (or improve) LP playback. I have 4 turntables I hardly listen to so its time to thin the herd!

I am loving my 701 Dual, 704 has the same lineage. Highly recommended!
Alas, I have six turntables right now, four hooked up and running so I don't need another stablemate....
