I'm having them restored and was told to find the MK2
I read the MK2 has a faster slew rate .

The MK II is a much higher performing amplifier, and quite frankly, one of the best amps on the planet even today. They have issues with stability that need to be addressed, not to mention 40 year old capacitors that must go, but once right, they are tough to beat.
