Technics SL-1900

Hi guys and gals, this is my first post. I have been given a Technics SL-1900
turntable and know very little about it. It seems to be in excellent working order. I know that anything free is great, but I was wondering how it ranks among turntables. In my system I currently use a Pioneer PL-200. Which is the better turntable? Any help would be appreciated.

I am borrowing one for fun.

It sounds like it is a usable player depending upon the cartridge, etc.
