For those in the know....
regarding Selah line up choices. Thinking of going w Tempesta. Its not Too big relative to the smaller ones for a condominium? Only medium to low listening levels, and not a dedicated listening room? Regular old living room.
Suggestions on their other options: ported or not, beryllium tweeter?
Totally new to this stuff.
(currently have the Pioneer Andrew Jones SP73 speakers and they seem pretty good to me!

Greg,

What have you got for amplification? What are your room dimensions, and how far is your listening position from the speakers?

The Tempestas are 85.5dB and 5 ohm/4 Ohm min, so a small amp won't push them to glory like a larger amp would. That said, Rick has said before that the Tempestas are his best selling speakers, so they must sound pretty good. (I haven't heard them, but hope to before too long.)

Banks for reply. Starting out went simple w this new Elac integrated amp that seems to ah e enough power.
I can't listen loud anyway. Room is about 10x10 but opens into kitchen so really bigger...

Greg,

Do you mean this amplifier?

http://elac.com/product/debut-series-da101eq-g-integrated-amplifier/

If so, I would definitely recommend telling Rick about it. Your room size is a plus for a lower power amp such as yours.

I have a pair of two-way speakers that are 4 Ohm, 83.5dB sensitivity that I initially powered with a 100w amp in a larger/longer room. The speakers sounded okay, but they did not sing (if you know what I mean). I now power them with a much better 150w amp and a really nice (if I may say so myself) tube preamp, so the speakers sing quite nicely now.

Rather than continuing in this starting block thread, I suggest switching over to Rick's circle where he will see what we're discussing. You really want his input.
