Good sound. Not sure of the manufacturer, guessing they're 90's vintage. Fairly heavy, probably 4-5 lbs each. I have a little high-pass filter with Mundorf 4.7uF zinc caps on each one. (Resistor and capacitor quality make a big difference on these.) I don't recall the cutoff frequency, but in the configuration the drivers do produce a nice airy mids and highs.
