Technics mod DIY method
« on: 27 Mar 2017, 08:07 am »
I, along with many other people am a strong believer that Technics SL1200's are more than adequate for audiophiles. I'm sure some people would disagree & the debate continues.
The table is so easily upgraded & modified. I have added a KAB voltage regulator, replaced the bulb in the pop up light w/ a super bright white LED (correctly, using a transistor), changed the RCA plugs with nice Neutrik ones, etc.
I also recently purchased a Herbies Way Excellent mat. I strongly suggest those to everyone. Absolutely amazing product.
Does anyone have any DIY methods or ideas for mounting 2 female RCA jacks & a grounding post to the back of the turntable? Or even something similar to the MK5 RCA jacks. But...not one of those pointing straight down RCA jacks under the table.
Italy's Precision Sound Lab has done a great job of one, but it's never in stock & costs a lot of dough.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
