Hello. I just joined mainly to get more information on Omega speakers. I have had a pair of his speakers since 2003 and really enjoy them. I don't know if I am an audiophile, but I have three separate systems. 2 channel for music. 5.1 for TV and movies and a computer music/video studio. Since nobody else even cares, here are the details.

2 Channel System
  • HH Scott 222 Integrated (got it for $200, then had it fixed up by hotglassaudio - he said :
This unit is a genuine 222, the first made in this series. It is a 15W/Ch amplifier, using an all discrete phono stage. It is also biased very
close to class A operation. These are rare characteristics for Scott, and thus this unit is "special", capable of better than average sound.
  • Omega Super 3R on Skylan stands (filled with Home Depot sand, circa 2004)
  • Schiit Bifrost DAC hooked up to an iMac with a 2 TB drive as a music server
  • Sansui TU-9500 tuner (looks cool, sounds nice).

5.1 System
Rotel RSX 1055 AV receiver that will not die (it has been on every day for 14 years at least)
  • B&W CM series speakers
Pioneer plasma TV that will not die
    Roku 4

Computer System
  • 2016 iMac 4 Ghz I7 4 core, 32 GB RM, 1 TB SSD + 4 TB external drives on Ergotech Freedom Arm
Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 USB interface and Countryman direct box
JBL LSR503 monitors on Isoacoustic isolation stands
Assorted mics and headphones (AKG, Shure, Sony...)
Controllers: Nektar Panorama P4 controller, Novation LaunchPad Pro controller
Software: Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, Auturia Soft Synths, S-Gear, Guitar Rig 5, Amplitube 4 and much more
Electric guitars: 1997 Fender Voodoo Strat, 2004 Les Paul Custom, 2016 Fender Nashville Telecaster
Acoustic instruments: Assorted guitars, banjos, mandolins, slide guitars...
Desk: Built the top myself with mixed woods including quarter sawn white oak, figured cherry, walnut and sapele

Here are some pictures of the computer setup. You can go CRAZY with this stuff, but if you have kids who are interested in music, you can do so much with a standard Mac and some of the built in software like GarageBand and a sub $100 controller keyboard!

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.
