Hi

Has anyone heard the Benchmark DAC1 with Bryston/PMC gear?

Anyone done any comparisons with the built-in DACs in the Bryston gear?

Anybody heard the Benchmark media DAC1. In Aust, retails for ~1700 so cheaper to go direct. However a relatively simple CD transport is then required.

Note it has balanced XLR and variable output, variable level gain and two headphone sockets...

Plus full 24 bit decoding...

I'm hoping to get one to listen - reviews suggest you'd need to spend much more to better it.

Yes you will have to go to the Prism Dream DA or Lavry Gold to find differences in performance.
One of mine (DAC-1s) works flawlessy with 4b-sst and IB2s.

Yes. Do a search on my posts (user kfjethro). I have to hit the hay as Santa is coming soon,
otherwise I would give more info.
