I am considering replacing my AV reciever with a PreProcessor since I am not using my receiver's internal amps at this point.
Can anyone recomment a good PrePro that also sounds GREAT in 2 channel mode.

Nobody knows how it sounds but I'd take a look at av123's EMO lite or big dog pre/pros coming out in March.

The best sounding pre/pro for the money with 2 channel material is the Audio Refinement Pre2-DSP. Particularly when fed an analog signal.

The Sony TA-P9000ES is only available used. If you can get one it is a bargain. It was Stereophile Class A rated. Mine was modified by Stan Warren (no longer modifying - but someone else can do it). These can be a great deal if you can find one.
