Cute but surprisingly good Little Bear tube preamp with upgraded Russian tubes. These sell for about $45 on eBay. I paid $20 or $25 to go with upgraded Russian tubes, which I found after a fairly extensive and fun bit of research. This looks like a toy but does in fact sound good and smooth. It's a great way to get into the beauty of tube audio for cheap. And did I mention that it's cute?
