Schiit Gungnir Multi-Bit aka Gumby
« on: 8 Mar 2017, 09:08 pm »
New member here....looking to learn to add to my audio enjoyment.

Just put in a order for a Schiit Gungnir Multi-Bit.    I own the Oppo HA-1 for HP listening.  Wanted to give the Gumby a shot at besting the ESS Sabre 9018 DAC on board the Oppo.

My HP's are the HD-800S that I really enjoy already through my stock HA-1....Read so much positive reviews of the Gumby that I have to give it a try.

Mister Magoo does work...even though I am not bald...

I will report the differences I hear....I am expecting to hear a large difference if I believe what I have read about the Gumby and the Sabre ESS 9018 glare some people report ...

  • To whom more was given more will be required.

Larry, how large do you would say the sound stage is in your HD800S?
In meters or feets etc Thanks
