Neil's "Greatest Hits" was released 11/16. The CD & CD/DVD package both extol their sonic virtues. Neil's site explains the technology--

That's nice to see.  Maybe they will remaster all of his albums with this quality.  The sixteen songs on this album don't nearly cover the "essential" Neil.

The DVD is not at all what one might expect: I expected supplemental videos, but there are only two of those (along with lyrics and still photos from the original recording session). The main thrust of the DVD is to provide a sonic alternative to the tracks on the CD (in super saturated DVD). If played on a home theater, the video for the DVD is simply an AR turntable spinning Reprise vinyl with Neil's LP covers nearby; as the track changes, one gets a different perspective on the TT (and different LP covers).  The local CD store had the CD-only package for $15.99 and the CD/DVD combo for $18.99.
